Has anyone had problems with their displays? Mine has starting losing parts of the numbers.

Unfortunately this is a known problem. We are working on sourcing another display. This is a display manufacturer defect and since it is a custom made display, it is difficult to find a replacement but we think we have found one! We should have a new display within 4-6 weeks. If you can wait until that time before sending it in, then you can get the new display. If you want it replaced now, we can do that but you will have another of the same type display.

We have another manufacturer lined up to build some custom displays for us. We will have the first batch in about 5-6 weeks. If you have lines or blank spots in your display and can wait that length of time, I suggest doing so. Right now we will only be able to replace the display with one of the exact same type. Thanks everyone!

During AirVenture we received a call from the new display manufacturer that a component needed to complete assembly is on backorder. We HOPE to have the new shipment of displays in 2-3 weeks. If you have a display failure, please wait until that time to call for a repair as we do not have any displays to repair units at this time. Thanks!

The good news is we did get SOME new displays. Bad news only about 60. Most of those are going to be used to keep our production line open. However, we are supposed to receive another 300 displays near 10/1. So if you have been patiently waiting (thank you!), please send me a PM here, post up, or email your name/phone number/email address/round or flat pack programmer. I will add you onto a list to be contacted when the next batch arrives. Thanks!

We did finally receive a large order of the new displays! Those of you on the list already, I have called everyone in the first group. We will work through them as fast as we can, but due to the increased volume of repairs, it will take us a little longer to complete these refits. Please allow 4-5 business days for the repair.
I am calling in batches of 10-12. If you have a failed display and have not called to get added to the list yet, please do so. We will only be performing these repairs from the list. Any new calls will be added to the end of the list. Thanks!

I noticed something like that the other day, but it isn't bad yet.
Is it safety-of-flight, or just annoyance?
Is there a charge for the swap? I bought mine well over a year ago, but only have about 10 hours on the plane since I finished my upgrades.

It has no effect on the autopilot functions whatsoever. If you know the button sequences, it'll still work as always.
There is no charge for this swap if your unit is still within warranty. If you'd like to send it in for replacement, just give me a call or PM and I'll add you to the list. Thanks!
I have only just turned my a/p on (still building) after getting it upgraded 9 months ago from IIVS to VSVG only to discover that the display is faulty. Somewhat dissappointing having come this far and about to finally fly.

If you have on of the green displays it is a possibility. It is a display manufacturer defect that we've had a lot of trouble with. They claim it is the application that is causing the failures.
We have completely new displays now from a completely different manufacturer.

Are there any updates on this problem? I have the green display which started getting "dead lines". I sent it back via a local agent and when reinstalled it worked well for about 5 hours of flying and then the same problem reocurred.
Can I have it replaced with a new display?
Must it come back to trutrak to be repaired? (takes ages)

Did it come back to you with the blue display or another green one? For a complete display swap to the blue it generally needs to come back here as the swap it pretty complex and the dealers aren't equipped to do so. If it's still under warranty it'll be a no charge swap. If it's out of warranty, it's a $500-$700 overhaul (depending on the model). It's a flat rate repair and comes with a one year warranty. Let me know how I can help. Thanks!

It came back with a green display.
Warranty is expired I am sure. I need a number from you to send it back for repairs then, can you assist?

I've started to experience problems with the display - one of the new blue screens. Purchased the product in May, installed in June and about 7 hrs flying on it. A couple of weeks ago the right hand side of the screen "crazed". After recycling power on the ground it cleared. Another time in flight it cleared without any intervention. Today it remained faulty throughout the flight. Back on the ground after shutdown I powered up again and then inadvertently touched the LCD display and it came on properly. Not sure if it will stay this way. Is this a known problem with the new displays?
Thanks
