Ok, went to hook up my static line and discovered I'd never actually hooked up my pitot line. Duh. Might be part of the pitch problems I've had...

Anyway, looking at the plastic (?) block on the back where the two holes for pitot and static are, it looks like there are very tiny cracks above and below each hole. I installed connectors in the holes like these:

After installing, I very gently applied suction to each connector - and BOTH felt like they are leaking.

I did not hook up the static line, as this would introduce a leak into the rest of the system.

Is this a common problem? I seem to remember a discussion about a similar problem, but I thought it was a different vendor.

Thoughts?

If you have an older AP unit it has a block that cracked more easily than it should. The newer blocks are thicker and made of a different material, we haven't had any trouble with them cracking. PM me your current address and I can give you an RMA # to return it for repair. Thanks!
