I have a Garmin 480 and the RV-10 AP. The AP indicates it has aquired the
GPS on powerup. Once I have the Waypoint setup in the 480 I engage GPSS, the aircraft adjusts the heading and starts to track the GPS course then I get an audio message "GPSS unavalable" We are still doing a lot of flight testing even though phase one is finished hour wise. Any tips on what I may have missed on using this function?

Hi Rick,

Check your ARINC output speed setting on your 480. You probably have it set to HIGH and it has to be on LOW for the AP to work in GPSS. Let me know!

Trutrak Tech,

Finally got a chance to flight check the AP after resetting the baud rate. Worked like a champ!!! This system rocks. Even with some pretty strong CAT and a 33 kt xwind the AP held and flew perfectly. Just wish I had the auto trim function but then I would have NOTHING to do!!:D

Rick,

Glad it's all smooth now. You know where to find me if you need anything else. Thanks!
