EFIS

I presently have a Digiflight II installed and powered off my battery bus.
I would like to know if I install and EFIS if it can issue commands to my existing auto pilot or would I have to install the EFIS with the built in auto pilot?
I like the idea that if the EFIS were to fail I would still have the auto pilot still working so I could dial in a 189 and get me out of IMC.

Hi Gerry,

At this time, the EFIS will not communicate to an exterior AP. So, they would be two completely independent units right now, with no communication between them. Some future updates to both products will most likely change that answer though. We just don't have a timeframe on when those updates will take place.
