SL30 and 430w

Currently planning my panel and required switches. I have an EFIS AP IV, a GNS430W and an SL30. I will also have the ARINC module when it becomes available. Can I designate the 430 as primary and the SL30 as secondary and have the system automatically switch to the SL30 if the 430 loses power? Or do I need to put in a manual switch?

My load shedding scheme for loss of the primary alternator would leave the SL30 live and the 430 would be off (I also have a 696 for situational awareness that remains on backup battery in this event).

As of right now (unless wiring or software changes are implemented), you will need a switch to go between the SL30 and the ARINC module for EFIS display. Similar to the switch for the primary RS232 input for GPS track. Thanks!
