GPS Source(s)

I've got a Digiflight II VSGV, Garmin GNS 430W, and ADI w/internal GPS going into my panel.

Still shopping, but plan to have a Garmin handheld GPS (496 or Aera) as a backup.

Can the ADI GPS serial output be used as an alternate source for the autopilot?

Mike,

The ADI output can be used, but you'll only have the serial data for the TRK selector mode. Also, the baud rate output of the ADI GPS is 4800. Thanks!
