I have a major panel upgrade including a DF II VSGV on order from a panel builder for my flying GlaStar. I'm reading the installation manual and on page 2, Wiring Considerations, it says not to run the COM antenna coax near any autopilot components (presumably including the servos).

I had planned on installing a second COM antenna on the belly between the gear legs which would put the antenna and its coax cable in the vicinity, perhaps even below the servo mounting tray.

How far away from the servos do I need to keep the COM antenna and the coax cable? (There will be an aluminum ground plane installed between the servos and the antenna but, of course, the coax cable connection and coax cable will be on top of the ground plane.

Thanks.

As far as possible is preferrable, but really as long as the antenna is tuned correctly, the coax is installed and the shield grounded correctly, it won't cause any problem.
