Greetings,
I have one of the earliest Digiflight II-VSGV units in my Lancair 320 and LOVE it! Last month during my annual I send the autopilot in to TT to replace the display. It was also upgraded to v2.32 software. At the same time, my CNX-80 WAAS GPS (aka GNS-480) had its software updated to the latest v2.3.
During my post-annual flight, and a couple times since, I have used the autopilot. Heading and GPSS modes work fine as well as ALT hold and selectable vertical speed.
The problem is that I cannot get the autopilot to enter GPSV mode anymore when shooting a WAAS approach. Used to use this feature frequently but now that mode is not even selectable anymore. The autopilot tracts the virtual localizer just fine but I cannot enable GPSV mode. Yes, I re-read the manual and verified that I was enabling this while below the glide slope, while in GPSS mode, etc. Still nothing.
Also, a couple weeks ago I spoke with Lucas and he said to make sure the baud rate and other settings were correct since the GPS software was updated. I did this per the autopilot installation manual and everything was just fine -- no setting had been changed.
Any suggestions out there as to what I should try next?
