Trutrak,
I'm currently building an older Glasair I RG, Kit #787 which was originally set up with an access panel in the wing for an S-Tec Roll servo. I purchased the partially completed kit from another buildier and do not have the S-Tec servo, but would like to use the same access area and convert to the the Trutrak system. Is there a Trutrak installation for the Glasair I-RG and can I get information on it to determine if my existing access cover is located in an acceptable location for the Trutrak servo installation? The wing is closed, but is not attached to the fuselage. Flaps and Ailerons still need to be fabricated, so I'm at the point where it's a good time to run cables etc.

Also, let me know if there is a recommended two axis Trutrak package for this model of Glasair.

Thanks, Dave Hart

Hi Dave,

The recommended AP depends on what you want it to do for you and what other equipment you have in the aircraft.

Here is the link to the Glasair install instuctions for the Glasair. I do not know if the access panel is different for an S-Tec, I would assume they are the same. If you already have the S-Tec servo brackets in the aircraft, we have an adapter that will let you bolt our servo directly to the S-Tec bracket. I hope this helps.

Lucas,

Thanks for the install instructions. That really helps. I do have the S-Tec mounting bracket which is attached to the access panel which the servo was mounted on. Can you send me the link for a drawing of the adapter bracket? I'd like see if it matches my mounting bracket, which would be great.

I plan to set the plane up for IFR operation. Will likely use a panel mount Garmin GPS, which will be coupled to the Autopilot.

Appreciate your help.

Dave
