Servo High Frequency Noise

Fitting my Digitrak today and when powered up for the first time found the servo to be quite loud. Sounds like high frequency coming from the servo stepper controller. Is the noise normal?

THANKS for another prompt reply. As a matter of interest, what is the noise? Frequency oscilator for the stepper motor????

The amp has two pretty big switching power supplies. They are usually the source of the noise.
