Lucas-

I have system power wired to both of my EFIS screens. The pilot side EFIS AP III shows airspeed when the system is sitting on the ground. I tried the Zero button on the set-up screens, but that didn't reset it. I have not connected the pitot and static lines as of yet. I did read the installation manual, but couldn't find any reference to adjusting the zero point on the airspeed. Any thoughts?

Lucas-

Any update on what you think I should be doing with this?

Hi Pete,

We are expanding our temperature calibration to greater limits. This should remedy the problem. When that calibration is done, I'll have you send yours in to be recalibrated. Thanks!

I was just thinking about GPS Steering, and was wondering if my EFIS III could be software upgraded to EFIS IV when I send it back for calibration. If so, would that be just the $1,500 difference in price on the order form?

Hi Pete,

That's correct. However, if you're using it with a 696 only, you won't have GPSS capability as the 696 does not output any GPSS commands. Let me know. Thanks!

Yes, I just have a 696. Oh, well. No GPSS for me then.
