Hi Guys,

I am the 3rd owner of a CTSW and after doing some dash modifications I have found some issue with the Bendix King Skymap IIIC and the Digitrak II namely that they don't seem to be communicating so I have gone back to the basics and am looking at checking the wiring harnesses.

Can any one tell me about the correct circuits on the Skymap IIIC that correspond to
14- GPS ARCIN A
15- GPS ARCIN B
17- GPS NMEA INPUT (primary serial input)
on the Trutrak Digiflight II ?

It would seem the Skymap IIIC candidates are'
1- Differential Data In
2- Data Out
4- Data in

Thanks,

Peter

Peter,

First, my apologies for not seeing this message earlier, it must have slipped through the cracks. I don't have an installation manual for the Skymap that gives pinouts, I only have the pilot's guide. However, looking at what you have listed, your 2 - Data Out should be connected to 17 - Pimary Serial Input on the Digiflight II.

The Skymap does not have ARINC 429 output, so you don't have to worry about it. If your have the Digiflight II (no G, VSG, or VSGV) then it doesn't use ARINC 429 either.

You'll need to set the Skymap Data Output setting to: NMEA 0183 4800 BAUD. Set the Digiflight II Baud Rate to 4800 and you should be good to go!
