My aircraft is not in use thus the battery is not getting charged
The voltage was down to 9V. My 2A charger wouldn't charge the battery when I connected the charger red positive lead to the red 12V Aircraft Power wire with the LED switch open or closed.
The charger happy light illuminated indicating it was charging the battery with the battery harness white/red wire connected to the red positive charger terminal with the LED switch closed. Unfortunately the battery blew up in about 15 minutes.
Your “ADI BACKUP BATTERY SERVICING” instruction is limited to “charge on the bench for a minimum of eight hours…” but it doesn’t say how to connect the battery.
What is the correct procedure for charging this battery?
