View Full Version : Bank Angle limitations

I have been reading on the GRT forum, that there are limits to the bank angle that TT autopilots will fly, which result in over-shooting a new course leg in faster aircraft and intercepts at greater than 30 degrees from the new course. :(
Is TT going to make any changes that will allow RV's flown by EFISes to perform more accurately in these situations? Either autopilot software updates, or user selectable options that fix this problem? :)

Phil,

We are aware of this apparent issue. While we have no other reports of this problem from users of other units, we do have a way to "tweak" the AP to give a better result. You can call for an RMA, just tell me what you're sending it in for and I'll make the necessary changes. There are no user selectable options for this. I am going to try to obtain a GRT unit for testing purposes as again, it is the only one we have received reports of not working well. Thanks!

I have a Sorcerer with dual GRT HX interfaced to it and have the same problems with the bank angle limitation. I am flying a turboprop so the speed contributes to the problem. Can I send my unit in too?
Thanks,
Joel
