View Full Version : Getting blown down wind on final
I noticed when practicing both ILS and GPS Approaches, that the airplane tends to get blown down wind (holds left of course with a right cross wind). Can this be adjusted out by increasing the sensitivity?

What do you have your torque set to? Make sure it's at maximum (12 or 250 on a DFC). What type of aircraft is it?
Torque is set to 12.
Flying an RV-8.
A/P is an AP-100.

Good, the torque is there then. For an -8, try the activity at 3 to start. Does it hold on course correctly if there is minimal or no crosswind?
I have not found any minimal or no crosswind days. Lateral activity was at 6, changed it to 3 with no noticable difference. The deviation is not gross, but I think it could be better.

What version of software do you have? If the software is quite old, there could be an ILS offset that a software update will fix. Current version is 2.25. Let me know.
