The KLN94 will work, but you won't have GPSS mode (as far as I can tell). I skimmed through the manual for it and only found mention of a DC voltage roll steering signal, which won't work with the DII VSG. You will be able to use the GPS TRK and GPS NAV modes though, so it will follow a flightplan. I hope this helps!

Hello Lucas,

Thanks for the answer, I bought a DFII VSG and according the local distributor it fully support the KLN 94 but I checked now myself in the installation manual and there is no ARINC support in the KLN 94 ….
Don’t trust distributors ……..

Hello Lucas,

Finally my autopilot is installed. :)

Work great but sometimes I have the following problems:
Normally work perfect more than 30 minutes and then start increasing altitude, it does not work by decreasing altitude 500 feet/min or more, just continue until autopilot is disengaged and engaged after manually getting on the right level. :(
Sometimes it just gets up and down without any reason. Software version is V2.25, static and pitot line is about 10 cms from the Dynon Efis.
Do you have any idea and solution?

Thanks in advance,

Stefan

Stefan,

Have you verified that the servo is moving in the correct direction? You can command a climb or descent on the ground to verify it moves the controls correctly.

Next, always make sure you are powering the unit up on the ground while stationary. You don't have to engage it, but you need to let it go through its power up cycle before moving as the gyros calibrate each time it's powered up.

And lastly, try increasing the static lag setting to 2. Thanks!
